Travelling for adventure and music is one of life's entertainments

I have traveled some but not nearly as much as I want too. Until I can travel again, I create simple art and "pretend people" of places I have either seen in person or want to see in person some day. I am posting some of those here, and also some entertainment opportunities coming up, and some videos that readers can watch and listen too. Here are some of the A's of travel:

I.  Austria
Visit their symphony and their palaces and cathedrals . This is my oil painting I painted of a "pretend" violinist from Vienna, and I completed on 2nd January 2015. This is also one of my ethnic series [#ethnicseries] of paintings and sketches that I began in year 2006 and continue to this day,  creating art of people around the world of all ethnic tribes, classes, cultures, languages [that are almost always created entirely by me--not real people] as a way of reminding the world "that JESUS loves the little children; all the children of the world, red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight".

II. Alpine :

The Swiss alps of course are one of the world's premier destinations for skiers. I have only flown over the alps, not actually visited them. I admit I have very mixed emotions about them because I am not terribly fond of extreme cold, snow and ice! But who isn't fascinated with Switzerland? This is my sketch I created of an Alpine village and chateau before the winter set in.

III. American Midwest and west , especially the Dakotas and Wyoming that have real native Indians.
This is my sketch I drew with pencils, charcoal and tinted charcoal of an American born Indian .

IV. Aramaic
Aramaic is an ancient language,  but some still speak it according to my research,  in the parts of the world called "the holy land", [of Christians, Jews and Muslims]. This is the sketch I created in watercolors of an Aramaic man. I do not make images of GOD ever, but someone did ask me once if this is my version of JESUS? No, it wasn't intended to be. There is no record of how JESUS looked anywhere in the Bible except to say that on the cross His visage changed.  The word visage is defined by dictionary as "countenance, appearance, aspect " and another similar word with the same root suggested a mask. In other words, His entire appearance changed on the cross; and I often wonder if He took on his heavenly appearance at that time. Anyway, this is not an image of JESUS! I was merely trying to create the clothing and beard of a "generic" man in 'the holy land" [as I think they as a class would look with beard, olive tones to skin, and with something covering their head, which I think is because of sand storms }. These "people" in these 4 created art "works" that  I created are NOT real people.

Here are some youtube videos that are very entertaining:

7 min youtube video of masks, splendid costumes  and music:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTu2hKoONik&list=TLb3oymIZXEjM .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ryhN5kNFzc&index=2&list=TLb3oymIZXEjM    with   Philharmonia  orchestra and Vladimir Askenazy's "Intermezzo"  with trains; and "Ballade" has a "black forest" look to some  visuals and also lakes, and "Alla marcia" is such happy music with what sounds like trumpets, flutes.

And here is news about two festivals of music coming up in January that some might want to travel to experience:

Quote: "Organizers of the Winter Blues Jazz Fest hope locals [of Williamsburg, Virginia , USA] and out-of-town guests alike will shake off the seasonal doldrums with four days of live music throughout the area.

The series of 12 events starts Jan. 15..." See http://wydaily.com/2015/01/05/new-music-festival-to-bring-four-days-of-jazz-to-downtown-williamsburg-next-week?cat=localnews/neighbors/

Quote: "The ninth annual San Diego soundON Festival of Modern Music runs Jan. 8-11, 2015 at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, 1008 Wall St. in La Jolla (with the exception of the Jan. 9 workshops, which will be held at the Athenaeum School of Arts Studios in University Heights and La Jolla.) The four-day festival celebrates emerging voices of the contemporary music scene, modern masters and several cutting edge world premieres.".
