This morning I took a leisurely slow wake-up day instead of spring out of bed at 5:00 am. And I listened to music while I drew sketches in a little 3 x 5 inch sketchbook, as practice to be able to draw that small to re-size some art I created in original size of about 20 x 24 inch. And I listened again to some of these songs, and I think they're all wonderful.

This is me Gloria Poole, Registered Nurse, artist, photographer at times, author, illustrator, cartoonist at times, as I looked in year 2002. This photo was photographed by my oldest daughter Jennifer who gave it to me and I have it framed. So I rephotographed it as a digital because I had done that before on one of my cell phones which unfortunately had a Microsoft file on it as an app, that has been nothing but aggravation forever! . The reason I am adding it here today, is because I have to identify to Microsoft that this is ME, so they stop trying to lock me out of my own cell phone and or little computer. I also have a big desktop computer that is not Microsoft, and tables that are also not Microsoft. I have posted different photos of me at different times and they are scattered throughout my blogs and sites. My most recent selfie is the one with my hair in lop-sided pony tail that is on most of my blogs.

This is the symbol of my alma mater Georgia Baptist College of Nursing where I graduated; and took state boards in Georgia to become a Registered Nurse years ago.I have a Registered Nurse license in Missouri.

This is the display I made of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business where I got a second education and graduated with a business degree.

This is my selfie [Gloria Poole,RN, artist] in spring 2014 but I look the same except that I am thinner and my hair is longer but I still put it in lop-sided pony tail when I walk about or create art to prevent hair from blowing into my eyes or into paint.That is also me that you see in the "about me" box on right side of this blog and I am wearing a dark grey winter wool hat because that photo was taken of me in state of Georgia in Jan 2010 and my family in Georgia saw me wearing that hat and so did other people. So I am leaving that photo also on this blog for that reason.

I used oil pastel sticks and drew it onto 8 x 11 cardstock paper that was tinted when I bought it. Copyrighted. Probably the entire world recognizes the face of Tim Tebow. I am grateful for this photo he or his agent sent to me to an email of mine. One thing I love about Tim Tebow is his Christian witness is unfailing whatever he does, and for that reason, and many others, I am happy to add his photo here. Of course, all know he began his career in the NFL, and now in broadcasting. He is certainly a rock star in the eyes of the Christian world. Thanks very much Tim [@TimTebow on twitter]. Festivals on beaches, and odd fish sketch painted today by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist of /in Missouri

I drew this with watercolor pencils and then painted it with a wet brush. Some of the festivals are taking place in exotic places with beaches so I thought these fish might stoke an interest in those places. I signed this, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine today 14th June 2016 at 4:58pm. I missed some of the festivals [that happened this past weekend] so this is not a complete list of all festivals around the world by any means. But viewers may be able to find a festival near you and this will give you the basic info. 11) TOLEDO, Ore. — A new music festival will debut in Toledo, near Newport, this summer. The inaugural Mid-Summer Music Festival is set for July 2-3, at Memorial Field in Toledo, and will feature multiple genres of folk, blues and rock music.

The Mid-Summer Music Festival is being organized by the talented trio of Belinda Goody, who organizes the Newport Celtic Festival and Highland Games; Brian Timme of Ultrasonic Events; and Paul VanDenBogard, who works with the Toledo Wooden Boat Show. The Mid-Summer Music Festival is hosted by the Toledo Chamber of Commerce and the Toledo Downtown Association.

The festival is already accepting applications for performers, vendors and volunteers. Sponsors and service providers are also being sought to help get this event off the ground.

This is a simple sketch I drew in chalk experimenting with tinted cardstock and I photographed it on my portable drawing board. April festivals:

1) April 25-May 6th: "The Lambton County Music Festival, a sign of spring in Sarnia-Lambton [Canada] for nearly nine decades, is set to run April 25 to May 6.

This year marks the 87th edition of the annual music festival where musicians, singers and choirs will be scored by adjudicators during performances held over two weeks at five locations around Sarnia.

It's billed as the longest running Canadian music festival operating independently from other charity funding or service club sponsorship.

Festival programs, $3, are available at Van Goozen Music in Sarnia. There's no charge for admission to the weekday adjudication sessions, but donations are accepted....There are close to 500 entries this year, Nichols said.

“Which is terrific,” he added.

“I'm really pleased with that number.”
